An observatory for the 2030s

Line Emission Mapper (LEM) is an X-ray Probe for the 2030s. Its transformative observational capabilities will open a new discovery space, allowing comprehensive studies of physics that drive the formation and growth of structures in the Universe: from planets and the Milky Way ecosystems to galactic halos and cosmic web. LEM will also provide transformative new observing capabilities for every area of astrophysics, and to heliophysics, and planetary physics as well.
